My Favorite Recipe
Date Pudding
1 cup chopped Dates
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup boiling water
Mix and let cool
1 ¼ cups flour
1 cup nuts
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch salt
2 beaten eggs. Add eggs after mixtures are combined.
Bake in moderate oven 45 min.
Sauce for Date Pudding
1 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter
Cook until a wax (? Not sure what that means?) is formed
¼ cup flour
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 cup brown sugar
Pour second mixture into first and cook until thick.
