Fudge                                                                  Mrs. Allen, East Orange St.

2 cups of sugar

1 cup of milk, stir well until mixed, then put on a low fire and let boil about ½ hr., do not stir.  When cooked to a soft ball, which has been tried in water, add lumps of butter 2 squares of chocolate and turn off the light and when almost cold add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and pinch salt.

½ lb. marshmallows

Soak in 2/3 cup of cream or milk ½ lb. graham crackers rolled 1 cup of nuts (ground) ½ lb. dates cut up.
