Red Cabbage Sauté
Slice a head of red cabbage as for cole-slaw. Put into frying pan a large lump of butter, one tablespoon of sugar, one teaspoon salt, one-half teaspoon pepper. Put shredded cabbage in this and stir back and forth about ten minutes. Remove to stewing pan, add one-half cup vinegar and a little water. Cover and simmer of one and one-half hours.
