Cherry Pudding

2 cups cherries & juice

2 tsp. tapioca

½ cup sugar

Pour into greased baking dish

Sprinkle with

¾ cup flour

½ cup sugar

¼ cup butter

Work flour, sugar butter until mixture is evenly crumbled.  Sprinkle thickly over cherries & bake for 45 min 350degrees.

Serve warm with whipped cream.

The back of this recipe is for a Dyke Cullen and Glendoris Cullen; the names are on a Hospital receipt for $75. Kind of makes you wonder, did she get this recipe while she was in the hospital? Or was it just a convenient piece of paper available to jot down the recipe? These old cookbooks and bits of paper inside them, can be so interesting!

Along with the clippings in this book there is a wedding newspaper notice with the names of these two people on it. They were military, so I really wonder how far around the world did this cookbook travel with them?
