Spice Bread Radio Recipe        

1 cup molasses

½ cup sugar

½ cup butter

1 cup boiling water

2 eggs

¾ teasp soda

1 teasp cinnamon

¼ teasp allspice

¼ teasp cloves

1 teasp chopped nuts

1 teasp raisins

1 teasp ginger

Flour

It usually takes around 2 ½ cups flour

Put molasses, sugar, butter & spices in a bowl.  Let get warm, then cream thoroughly.  Then add hot water.  Soda & beaten egg yolks.  Sift a little flour on nuts & raisins, then add flour to batter, then nuts & raisins.  Then fold in beaten eggs yolks.
