Sugar Cookies
Stamm is a family name on my father’s side, I doubt this is a relative from Grandma Rose but it is fun to think that maybe it could be; she did have quite a few brothers and sisters in Germany.
1# (pound) sugar 4 eggs well beaten
1 lemon rind (fresh)
Flour enough to make a dough for drop cookies.
The success of these cookies depends on how long and well the dough is beaten. The eggs should first be beaten separately, then mixed & beaten again, then the sugar added & beaten again. Care must be taken not to add too much flour.
Joan Stamm.

Butter Cookies (Spritzer)
Cream
¾ lb. butter
1 c. sugar
Beat 1 egg & add to creamed sugar & butter. Add 4 c. flour, sifted. Dough gets very stiff. Make with a Todco cookie maker.
