Frosting
White of one egg
1 teaspoon starch 9 heaping teaspoons pulverized sugar
Lemon juice to whiten

Ice Cream Cookies Mrs. A.S. Moyer
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup lard and butter
1 egg not beaten
¾ cup flour – bread flour or 1 cup pastry flour before sifting.
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla
Drop ½ teaspoon two inches apart. No milk. These first brown around the edge. Oven 375degrees.
Good.

Merangue (Meringue)
2 egg whites beaten stiff
4 tablespoons gran. Sugar
Stir sugar in beaten egg whites gradually brown in a slow oven. ½ teaspoon B.P.
