Mrs. Stevens Gingerbread
1/3 cup butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup molasses
2 cups flour – ginger
2 eggs
½ cup (scant) sour milk
Teaspoon soda in cold water

Cranberrie Meringue Pie
1 ½ cups of sugar
2 cups cranberries
½ cup cold water
1 tablesp. Of flour
1 tablesp. Butter
2 eggs
½ teasp. Vanilla
2 tablesp. Powdered sugar
Cook sugar and water to a syrup. Add the cranberries. Cook until the berries have popped, cool a little. Mix smoothly in a bowl the flour & the yolks of eggs, add three tablesp. of the cranberrie juice add this to the cranberries & let simmer for 3 min. Stir in butter & vanilla & set aside to cool. Put into bake crust and cover with white of eggs & powdered sugar 7 brown.
