Foiled Steak Supper

Tear off a 2 ½ foot length of 18-inch wide foil.  Place a 1-inch thick chuck steak (about 1 ½ pounds) in center of foil.  Sprinkle meat with 1 envelope onion-soup mix, then cover with several of these vegetables: 2 or 3 medium potatoes, halved lengthwise, 3 carrots, sliced, 1 or 2 stalks celery, sliced, ½ green pepper, sliced, 1 medium onion, sliced.  Dot vegetables with butter or margarine and sprinkle with salt.  Fold foil over and, leaving a little space for expansion of steam, seal.  Place on baking sheet; bake at 450degrees 1 to 1 ½ hours or till done.  Open foil; trim meat with pimiento.  Serves 4.
