June 26^th

Snickerdoodles

1 c short (shortening)

1 ½ c sugar

2 eggs

Sift

2 ¾ c flour

2 t c of tartar (cream of tartar)

1 t soda

½ t salt

Chill

2 T sugar

2 t cinnamon

Snickerdoodles 5 doz. 2”cookies B. Maxwell 12-71

1 c soft shortening (part oleo) +mix thourougly

1 ½ c sugar

2 eggs

Sift together and stir in then refrigrate

2 ¾ c sifted flour

2 t cream tartar

1 t soda

¼ t salt

Roll into balls, then roll in mixture of 2 T sugar – 1 t cinnamon – place 2” apart 400degrees 8-10 min.
