Pineapple Cake
Cream together:
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
Add 2 well beaten eggs
½ cup milk, then stir in2 cups flour sifted several times with 1 teasp. B.P. Bake in layers
Filling
Boil:
2 cups sugar with 2/3 cups cream for ten minutes, take from fire & beat until smooth & thick.
To 1/3 of this add 1 cup grated pineapple & spread between layers; add enough pineapple juice to make it spread smoothly over top & sides, then mix in 1/3 cup grated pineapple to make the frosting rough with it. If you wish to make it real fancy before the frosting hardens, take a slice of pineapple, drain & dry good, cut into star shape (or ?) press in center of cake & put a candied cherrie in center.
