Sour Cream Cookies    

2 cups sugar

1 cup shortening

1 cup sour cream

5 cups flour

1 teaspoon soda

2 teaspoons B.Powder

Lemon extract

2 eggs

Josephine’s Sugar Cookies

1 ½ cups sugar

½ cup butter or Crisco

2 eggs

½ teaspoon soda

A little ginger and salt

Flour enough to handle & roll; cream sugar & butter; beat eggs light & add all together.

Brown Sugar Drop Cookies                           

1 c. brown sugar

½ c. shortening

1 egg

1 c. flour

1 c. H.O. Oats

½ c. shredded coconut or nuts or chocolate chips

¼ t. soda

¼ t. salt

Cream shortening & sugar, add egg.  Sift flour & measure, resift with salt & soda added.  Add Oats & nuts; form into balls or spoon & drop on slightly greased pan.  Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
