Daily Recipes by Calendar March 7th 1900, tried & true recipes for Candy, Cookies and Jelly
Havertown PA 1879 through 1948 A small handwritten cookbook and lots of additional clippings and loose pages.
The name on the front of the red leatherbound book is Jonathan Holland and a few of the recipes have references to a Mrs. Holland and the Victoria Cake is dated 1885 for her.
There is a Nut Cake from a Carrie Sibley; dated January 2nd 1880.
A notation for Chicken L.W. Jenkes; dated May 6th 1948

The article on the back of these recipes is about a baseball player named Christy Mathewson who in the year 1900 went to play for the New York Giants; that is how I got to this date for the article.
