Pudding Crumbed Bread
One pint
3 pints milk boiled poured onto bread when cool put in 8 eggs ½ lb. raisins little salt sauce for it – butter sugar & nutmeg rubbed together.

Ginger Bread Mrs. A.S. Moyer
1 cup gran sugar
2 tablespoons lard
½ cup N.O. Molasses
1 beaten egg
2 ½ cups flour
3 teaspoons baking soda in the flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon cloves
1 cup boiling water, (goes in last)
1 teaspoon of ginger
Mix dry ingredients. Put lard in bowl, soften, add sugar then dry ingredients, egg, molasses and last the boiling water. The mixture is very thick before adding the water.
Gran = granulated; N.O. Molasses = New Orleans, which is a brand of molasses.
