Stuffing for Turkey

Bread chopped to fill, salt pork size of an egg, butter size of an egg, pepper, salt to taste.

Nut & Date Cookies                                                (Arnaud’s friend)      Good

1 ½ cups gran. Sugar

½ cup butter

3 cups flour

3 eggs

1 dessert spoon of soda dissolved in a little hot water

½ lb. or more of English walnuts cut fine

1 lb. dates cut fine

Vanilla

A very stiff dough.

Drop by tea-spoon on baking tin, placing ½ walnut on top.  Mix dates and nuts with flour.  Mix sugar and eggs together, then butter and then the flour.
