Hard Sauce

½ cup of butter

2 cups of sugar

Beat together and sprinkle with nutmeg or put a little wine if desired.

White Cookies                                      Mrs. Covey – Flo. Cedars 8/18

¾ sugar                                             or 1 cup sour cream

¼ c butter                                         2/3 cup butter & lard

¼ c lard

1 egg

½ teas. Lemon

¼ cup sweet milk with 1 level t sods, dissolved.

Stir well.  Flour to soft dough.
