Eggnog Christmas
Here is an easily made eggnog, said to have come from the files of old Delmonico’s.
Have a punch bowl large enough to hold three quarts. Crack eight fresh eggs, separate yolks from whites. Whip whites to a light froth. Add eight tablespoons powdered sugar to yolks and whip while slowly pouring in one pint of Jamaica rum and two quarts of fresh milk. Pour the frothed whites over the whole and keep cool until needed.
