May 1938

Matso Meal Cake                 

¾ c. matso meal

1 tsp. Bkpd.

1/8 tsp. salt

Mix together

6 eggs – beaten separately

1 c. sugar added to yolks well beaten

Add dry ingredients

1 c. ground walnuts (fine)

1 tsp. flavoring

Fold in beaten whites last

Bake about 25 min. in 2 floured pans.  Pile whipped, sweetened & flavored cream in between & on top.  Decorate with cherries, nuts: – pineapple wedges.

Note: – Matso meal may be purchased at Jewish delicatessen or markets.
