August 1, 1938; Pineapple Milk Sherbet & Reba’s Chocolate Cake
Le Habra California 1930’s through 1960’s
Pineapple Milk Sherbet
1 ½ c sugar 1 c orange juice
2 c milk 3 T. lemon juice
1 c crushed pine (pineapple) 1/8 t. salt ½ c cream
Soak sugar, fruit and fruit juices 10 min. Slowly add milk & cream. Pour into tray for 30 min. Beat well. Do this twice at 30 min. intervals. Requires 4 hrs. to freeze.

Reba’s Choc. Cake
½ c shortening 2 c sugar {1 white 1 brown
2 eggs (separated) ½ c sour milk
1 t. soda 1 t. Bkpd. Add soda to sour milk
½ c cocoa with ½ c hot water
2 cups sifted flour.
