Cherry Christmas Tree Cake Serves 30.


Kringlors
½ lb. butter
½ lb. Crisco – melted
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1 pt. milk (2 cups)
4 tsp. baking powder
Flour enough so you can roll out dough.
Bake 375
Dip in sugar before baking, ½ hour each cookie sheet.

Jul Glug
3 glasses wine (sour)
1 glass alcohol, 190 (percent) proof
Not quite a glass of water
1 c. sugar (not quite)
1 stick cinnamon
1 tsp. whole cloves
1 tbsp. raisins
5 or 6 cardamom seeds in shell
Take 1 cup water, put cloves, cardamom seed & cinnamon & let boil, add wine, alcohol and sugar. Leave on low flame until hot add raisins. Remove from heat, light with match & blow out.

Mincemeat Pie 9422
Prepare to & bottom crust. Put thinly rolled bottom layer in pie pan leaving overlap.
Filling
1 large jar Nonesuch mincemeat
1 c. chopped apple or pear
Marinated overnight in ½ c. brandy
Pepper to taste
Butter
Milk
Place mincemeat mixed with fruit in pie pan on bottom layer of dough, lightly pepper the top. Dot with butter. Dribble a drop or 2 more brandy on top, seal with top layer, flute. Make fork holes on top. Brush or pat top with milk, dot with butter. Bake preheated 425 for aprox. 40 mins. Or until nice med. Brown. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
