June 14^th 1941

Fruit Drop Cake

2 c sugar

1 c molasses

1 c shortening

1 c (?) water or coffee

2 t soda

1 t cinnamon

1 t cloves

1 c currants

1 c raisins chopped

6 c sifted flour

White Drop Cake    

½ c butter

1 c sugar

1 egg

2/3 c sweet milk

2 ½ c flour

2 t baking powder

Put raisins or coconut on top of each one.  Bake quickly a light brown. 

Molasses Drop Cake 

1 egg                     1 c sugar

Molasses              ¾ c shortening

1 c (?) water or coffee

1 dessert spoonful soda

1 t cinnamon       ½ t cloves

Little salt

5 c flour sifted
