Lemon Snaps
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon essence lemon
¼ teaspoon soda in 1 teaspoon milk
Flour to make very stiff – roll thin.

Cream Pie Crumb
First part
1-pound seeded raisins stewed with one cup of sugar and enough water to stew them.
Second part
2 cup flour crumb with ½ cup of butter and ½ cup sugar
Take out one cup of crumbs for the top of the pies. To the balance of crumbs add
2 eggs
1 cup sweet milk
2 teaspoons baking powder sifted in a little flour.
Line the pans as for custards, put in the raisins, spread the batter over and sprinkle the crumbs on top.
