Salad Dressing
Tested
This will keep. One heaping tablespoonful butter, 1 rounded tablespoon of flour; put in a small frying pan on the stove and stir until hot and smooth, then add 1 cupful of milk. Have mixed in a bowl 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 heaping teaspoon of mustard, 1 egg and scant ½ cup of vinegar. Add to the other mixture and cook until it thickens. Thin down one-half of it with cream. Can use top of bottle of milk. Put aside other half for future use. Nice with lettuce and salmon. Arrange lettuce on small platter, put the crabmeat or salmon in the center. Serve with salad dressing. Fine. Nice supper dish.
Lady of the Lake
I love the submitters name; Lady of the Lake! If you are any kind of a fan of the legend of King Arthur this is a very interesting use of that history.
